Visitors are surprised at how reasonably priced our quality education program is compared to other high-quality Christian schools in our area. To choose a different Christian school in the Milwaukee area that comes anywhere close to a similar combination of program, staffing, and facility found at ORLS, families have to pay significantly more per child over our school tuition. Families are able to spread payments out over a 10-month payment plan. A tuition child can attend our elementary program for just $110 per week (based on a 52-week division of the annual tuition). If a family qualifies for need-based tuition assistance, a percentage of the costs may be covered by an assistance grant. We are positive we offer the absolute best value and quality in Christian education in the Milwaukee area!
Expanded programming has been an “impact player” at ORLS over the course of the past five years. Early Childhood full day, half-day, and preschool-only programs are available, meeting the needs of preschoolers age 2 and older. Full-time Spanish, Physical Education and Music instructors enhance the core curricular offerings.
Any visit to our campus quickly shows how much our students love their school. The joy on their faces, the excitement in their activities, and the energy in their classroom discussions all point to how much they value Our Redeemer. They benefit from hands-on learning and collaborative problem-solving through our STEM program and daily classroom routines. They come in each day eager and ready for another opportunity to participate and later on tell their parents all about it when they return home.
At all grade levels and many activities, parents are vitally involved in our school. They help in the classroom, volunteer at the basketball tournament, chaperone field trips, and participate in fundraising support for the school. Parents make attendance their priority at our performance events. They remain our #1 source for publicizing the school to the community, sharing their Our Redeemer experience with friends, family and co-workers. The family atmosphere at ORLS is commented on by visitors and strongly valued by our families.

Our professional educators are fully qualified and thoroughly educated, with many already holding or pursuing Master’s degrees. They all have years of experience in Christian education, and have demonstrated their commitment and passion to sharing Christian faith and values with children and families while passing on their lifelong love for learning. Small class sizes at all grade levels allow students to receive excellent attention, with teachers able to appropriately address learning hurdles and intellectually challenged students. The average student-teacher ratio is 15:1.
The question constantly asked at ORLS is “What is best for kids?” Students are involved in student-led conferencing with parents and teachers in grades 3 through 8 at ORLS. Through this experience, students learn accountability, communication skills, organization, and goal-setting. After-school optional class offerings rotate monthly and offer a wide array of arts and crafts for students. A full athletic schedule, Forensics program, and band program augment classroom areas as well!
The ORLS campus is secured during the school day and is monitored and operated under the highest safety standards. The building and grounds are kept neat and clean at all times. Our program also offers the opportunity for students to be cared for through Child Care offered between 6:30am and 6:00pm Monday through Friday.
On standardized tests, our students consistently score above average. Our graduates are easily accepted into all local high schools, public and parochial, often moving right into advanced math as well as various Honors and AP placement classes. The academic foundation received at Our Redeemer has propelled many students through such high school success that they have eventually been accepted at a variety of top tier universities for continuing their education.
We believe the Bible is the completely accurate and true Word of God. We believe we have salvation and eternal life through faith alone, by the grace of God and not by anything we have earned or accomplished for ourselves. We believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior, the Lord of our lives. These core beliefs impact and influence every aspect of our school. Faith development is the goal for our students as they experience the love and forgiveness that exists in our faith-based population. Our School Mission Statement says it clearly: Our mission at Our Redeemer Lutheran School is to provide a high quality education that prepares students to live purposeful, Christ-centered lives.
